Round two of tallarns

The second round of the tallarn commission really like working on these guys will be plenty more to come i am told.

Finished Tau commission was harder than it looked just with the black and white color scheme having to fix little errors here and there having to build up the layers as you cant just blob white on to cover up black but in the end i think they came out.

The game table my son and i have been working on for a couple weeks gives us something a little nicer then a piece of carpet on a sheet of plywood to have a game on.  Its not quite finished still have some work to do on the hills and touch up the dirt areas but it will get the job done for now so i can get back to the commissions im working on.

Here is the finished sword brethern unit amred with the following 3 with bolt pistol and chain sword, 1 with lightning claws and 1 with melta gun.  I made these out of the bits from the black templar upgrade sprue and i think they came out okay.  below is a picture of the total painted army so far.

Here another shot of the Black Templar army so far i think they are coming along nicely so we have two squads of iniates and neophytes, a terminator squad and a venerable dreadnough.  Im working on a squad of converted sword brethern should have pics and a movie on youtube for them tomorrow hopefully, that will leave the captain, a chaplain, the emperors champion, a rhino and a razor back to complete for the army.  It doesnt seem like a lot but thats almost 2000pts.  After that is finished gonna decide if we want to add a 5 man assault squad to give them a fast choice.  Projects are starting to line up here we have this army to finish then a blood angel army and looks like a grey knight or dark angel army after that plus there is a high elf army kicking around the studio as well that needs to be finished.  It will be a busy few months it looks like!

Started working on a Black Templar army last week just wanted to show how it was progressing we will be selling this army when its finished or depending if there is any truth to the rumors of a white dwarf codex we may hold on to it til the white dwarf comes out.

Here is the finished product of a Tallarn commission i was working on.  Was alot of fun working with the old oop metal guardsmen  and a nice change to paint up some forge world stuff with the tallarn snipers.  I think they came out awesome and i should be getting some more in the mail from the customer next week to continue his army for him.

Long Fang project

Hey everybody just thought i would do a quick update about my Long Fang project I will be using the old oop long fang models but i will be using the newer devastator weapons instead of the original ones they came with.  So far they have just been primed but i decided to go out and buy the the army painter colored primer so i used  the wolf grey color to see how that will work and so far i really like it.  Anyways ill keep you all updated as they progess along.

Im back

Hey guys had to take a break from the hobby for a number of reasons and since things are better now i once again have the time to start blogging again and getting back to doing some painting ive really been neglecting my dwarfs and space wolves well that time is over i also am starting to do commissions again and i have some tallarn projects lined up for the next couple months which should be interesting anyways you will see me being more active on here posting how the tallarns are going so as to show off the progress so once again sorry for disappearing but im back.

Bjorn Again

Hey guys well here is the almost finished product i need a finer brush to do the detail work on the scrolls. On the one on the close combat arm i want to put russ and on the other one bjorn of course. It was a fun project i am really enjoying working with these old oop models before i move onto the newer wolf packs which rock by the way lots of conversions are possible with the new kits ive already made a rune and wolf priest out of the bits in it. Anyways back to Bjorn heres some pics.

Wow two posts in one day ive recently started work on Bjorn as i am tired of him staring at me so i primed him up last night and hopefully today or tomorrow ill get the base coat on him. I still cant believe they didnt give him back his wolf claw but ill take the 5+ invul as compensation lol guess we cant have everything lol

Blood Angel Army

Hey guys thought i would show off the Blood Angel army i was working on for my son but in the end we sold it, as he decided he liked playing with bugs instead lol. It seemed like alot of wasted effort but in the end it has gone to a good home and will get plenty of use. I did enjoy painting the old models as it brought back alot of fun memories from when i first got into the hobby so in all it was a good project as the sale got the wife her mothers day present and my son started on the tyranid army anyways heres a pic hope you guys like it.

Trygon

Hey guys heres the trygon ive been working on hope you like it up next i am thinking about doing a blood angels army to sell on ebay and hey if it doesnt sell i guess my son will have his first army lol.

hey everybody hope everyone had a awesome week I sold that ultramarine squad on ebay and just put up a couple more models i just finished. Also i started working on my Trygon today got him all primed up and a base coat, its looking pretty good I am expecting another one to arrive in the mail this week hopefully I'll prob set this one up as a mawloc. Anyways the commission is going pretty good the unit of blood claws is coming along nicely should be done them next week and ill be able to send them out. Update

Hey guys i got busy doing videos over on youtube and i kinda forgot to keep updating my blog, sorry about that anyways here are some of the things ive been working on lately they have already sold on ebay so just looking for my next project. I do have a Calgar oop model on the go and i am currently working on my first commision a unit of blood claws which is really exciting i find its different when somebody buys your work compared to somebody actually paying you to paint something just for them. Anyways here are some pics and ill try to keep this updated more often.
